Effects of bradykinin on the systemic and coronary vascular bed of the intact dog.

چکیده
• Bradykinin is a polypeptide and one of the plasma kinins. First described in 1949/ the pure product was isolated in 1960 and its identity with the original crude mixture established.3 It has vasodilator properties, stimulates smooth muscle, increases capillary permeability, and causes pain. It has been shown to increase blood flow through the forearm and skin of humans, and reduces resistance in the isolated perfused dog-lung preparation." Recently, bradykinin (among other substances) has been shown to diffuse from the skin of scalded rats. There is no integrated study of the general and coronary hemodynamic effects of bradykinin in the intact animal. Therefore, the following reports the results of such a study.

Effects and mechanism of action of aminophylline on cardiac function and regional blood flow distribution in conscious dogs.
The effects of aminophylline, 1 mg/kg/min infused intravenously for 10 minutes, were examined on left ventricular (LV) diameter, pressure, an indexes of myocardial contractility, as well as systemic, coronary and regional hemodynamics in conscious dogs. Aminophylline increased mean arterial pressure 12 +/- 2%, LV systolic pressure 8 +/- 1%, LV dP/dt 20 +/- 2%, velocity of myocardial fiber short...
متن کاملEffect of complete bed rest duration on vascular complication after angiography in hospitalized patients in post angiography units in health centers in Rasht
Introduction: Coronary artery angiography is an important diagnostic method in patients with ‎coronary disease which like other diagnostic methods has side effects. The important ‎complication of it is vascular side effects (hematoma and bleeding) in place of sheet insertion. ‎In order to control it, one must be in complete bed rest (CBR) and in no reference an exact ‎time is me...

• The primary clinical indication for digitalis therapy is congestive heart failure and the inotropic effect of digitalis preparations has been demonstrated in both experimental animals and man. However, studies by Ross et al.' have shown that digitalis affects not only myocardial contractility but also total peripheral resistance. In view of the latter effects, we have to consider the possibil...
متن کاملRole of Bradykinin and Mas Receptor Blockade in Renal Vascular Responses to Angiotensin 1-7 in Adult Female Rats
Background and purpose: Chronic kidney disease is among the common diseases in the world. Studies show that women are more protected against renal diseases compared to men. On the other hand, vasodilatory axises of renin angiotensin system (angiotensin 1-7 (Ang 1-7)- Mas receptor (MasR)), kallikrein-kinin, and nitric oxide (NO) play key roles in kidney function and circulation in females. There...
متن کاملNoscapine antagonizes vasoconstrictor action of bradykinin in isolated human umbilical artery
Abstract Background: It has been demonstrated that noscapine, an antitussive opioid alkaloid, could antagonize bradykinin- induced responses such as bradykinin effects in guinea-pig ileum, cough induced by bradykinin receptor agonist and angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, and brain damage after brain edema both in neonatal rat model and in patients with stroke. In the present study, the...
